A new Champion is crowned!!
Congratulations to William S. Hart HS for claiming the 2013 MBOS Championship along with the High Effect, High Visual and High Color Guard caption awards. Second place and High Music went to Vista Murrieta HS and Third place went to El Diamante HS. High Percussion was awarded to Chino Hills HS. Thank you to all of the show hosts, performers, spectators, Directors and staff members for making the 2013 MBOS FANtastic!
A great night for a band show in Temecula Valley
It was exciting to see all of the growth and improvement in all bands on a cool evening. Great Oak continued to tell their history of the Great Oak through exciting music and drill design. Murrieta Mesa High School intrigued us beginning with a narrated pre-show about stages of water. All bands were supported by a large and enthusiastic audience! Thank you to Jerry Burdick-Ritz and the fantastic boosters of Great Oak HS for your hospitality and attention to detail!
Las Vegas Invitational did NOT disappoint!
With bands from all across Nevada, California and Utah, the day was filled with FANtastic performances from start to finish! Congratulations to all of the performers that participated this year and to the Class winners in Preliminary competition:

Great weather...better BANDS!
The day started off with great weather and the groups kept it going through Prelims into the gorgeous night for Finals! Thank you to our host, Vista Murrieta HS and Director, Don Wade for a FANtastic event! Congratulations to the Prelims winners Murrieta Mesa - Black Opal, Ramona - Onyx, and Vista Murrieta - Sapphire. In the Finals competition ALL of the groups stepped it up a notch and gave the large and enthusiastic crowd great performances, with Vista Murrieta taking 1st place and all Caption Awards. See you next weekend!
MBOS HEATS UP CENTRAL CALIFORNIA!
The brand new and beautiful Koligian Stadium played host to MBOS San Joaquin Valley Marching Band Classic, featuring 12 extraordinary bands from across the region. The preliminary performances brought everything from taiko drums, thrilling brass, rich woodwinds, thought-provoking story lines and beautiful guard and dance--ALL on a football field. Later, the Top 8 bands returned for an Open class Finals that was nothing short of FANtastic! Congratulations to Clovis West HS for winning the MBOS San Joaquin Valley Marching Band Classic. Thousand Oaks HS brings MBOS to the Conejo Valley!
Saturday night under the lights, groups from all across California convened on the beautiful campus of Thousand Oaks HS to bring the marching pageantry arts to Conejo Valley! Hart HS wowed the audience with gigantic roses that bloomed during their show. New comer to MBOS, Valencia HS entertained with a show about phobias, including real clowns on the field. Meanwhile, Westlake HS brought the mesmerizing sounds of the music from Phantom of the Opera to the stage. Did YOU notice the chandeliers illuminated during the show?
